What is this CPC for Drivers?

The Driver CPC is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK. If you drive a vehicle in Categories D1, C1 or higher and you operate either hire and reward or any service for which there is a payment then you will be required to attain a Driver’s CPC.

For new drivers, this will mean a new training standard followed by annual or periodic training. For existing drivers it will mean periodic training of 35 hours ideally delivered in 7 hour blocks, once a year over a period of 5 years.

Countryliner Coaches has already contacted M2 Training to prepare the ground for providing CPC training for its drivers. This follows on the success of our NVQ Level 2 training programme which saw significant improvements in customer service and driver satisfaction.

When will the Driver CPC start?

The Driver CPC for PCV drivers will be implemented on 10th September 2008 and for LGV drivers will be implemented on 10th September 2009. Why not contact us now and find out how we can deliver your first year of CPC training at nil cost within a driver training package that suits your personal needs.
